About

JoLedingham

Jo Ledingham has a Master of Arts degree in Dramatic Literature from UBC and has been covering the Vancouver theatre scene since the mid-80s. Her reviews and articles have been published in the Georgia Straight and Canadian Theatre Review and online at Review from the House, Plank Magazine and the Murray Paterson Marketing Group; she was the regular theatre critic for The Vancouver Courier for almost thirty years until cutbacks at the paper eliminated her position.

Jo lives in a heritage cottage on Indian Arm with a woodstove, too many plants, a couple of boats and a bunch of crab traps.

Art isn’t created or consumed in a vacuum; it doesn’t exist without purpose, cause, or urgency. In a world of turmoil, the performing arts serve to illuminate, to incite, to resist, to remember and honour, and to soothe.
